2009 Nationals

The 2009 National Test will take place at the Danville High School in Danville, Pennsylvania on the weekend of June 19-21, 2009. It is sponsored by Master Fred DeStolfo and hosted by the Eaton Tae Kwon Do Academy. We look forward to welcoming you all to our region and are planning a wonderful weekend for participants and families alike.

There are two sponsoring hotels which are holding a block of rooms for those traveling from outside our region. The Pine Barn Inn is located 2 miles from the Danville High School and will be the site of the post test ice cream social. This hotel has a restaurant and a pub. Room prices range from $79-$129 per night depending on type of room requested and will be available for those rates until May 22, 2009. The contact number is 570-275-2071 and is held under National TKD Test. The Danville Best Western is also holding a block of rooms for us under Chin Mu Kwan TKD Test until June 1, 2009 with rates of $99/night and range from suites, to rooms with refrigerators on first-come, first served basis. There is a pool located at this hotel and it is approximately 5 miles from our High School. The contact number is 570-275-5750.

The closest international airport is in Wilkes-Barre, Scranton (airport code AVP) and does have major carriers. It is 70 miles from our area but is a straight highway drive on routes I-81 and I-80. Other airports to consider are Lehigh Valley, Allentown, and Philadelphia International Airports; these will be close to a two hour commute.
